Conq Baseball Signs 3 for Next Year

The Dodge City Community College Baseball Team has announced the signings of three student-athletes for next year. Spencer Bedwell (pictured below), Nick Comito, and Dylan Gadberry have all signed Letters of Intent to play for the Conqs next season.  Bedwell is a INF/RHP from Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs, CO.  Comito is a middle infielder from Mullen High School in Lakewood, CO. Gadberry is a RHP/OF from Amarillo High School in Amarillo, TX.  Coach Stephenson had this to say about the signee's "We feel all three of these guys can make an immediate impact next year and are great additions to our program."  The Conq Baseball team opens up their season on February 25th @ New Mexico Military Institute.

 

2012 Baseball Season Preview

2011 was a breakthrough season in Coach Phil Stephenson's 6th season.  The Conquistadors finished with a 30-29 record and Dodge City won the Region VI Division II Championship. The Conqs only have 5 sophomore returners for 2012 but the coaching staff feels this team has a great chance to improve on last season.  A solid recruiting class of incoming freshman and transfers should step in and provide not only some new starters, but depth as well.  With all the new faces, the Conquistadors hope to continue to move upward for 2012 season...more

Baseball Falls in District Play

The Conquistador baseball team's run towards the NJCAA Division II World Series ended on Sunday in Altus, OK.  The Conquistadors (30-29) fell to Western Oklahoma State 19-5 in the championship game of the Plains District Tournament on Sunday.  On Saturday, Dodge City knocked off Region II Champion MCC-Longview (MO) 9-8 and lost to #8 Western Oklahoma State 25-3...more

Conqs Win Region VI Baseball Title

The Dodge City Community College baseball team (29-27) took the first step towards NJCAA Division II World Series on Saturday by capturing the Region VI title.  The Conquistadors hammered out a 17-4 victory over Hesston College in the championship game...more
